This Privacy Policy explains how CalculatorHub ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use calculatorhub.my (the "Site").

1. Information We Collect

Calculator inputs. All calculations happen entirely inside your browser. We do notsend your inputs (salary, property price, weight, etc.) to our servers. When you use the "Share" feature, inputs are added to the URL — which you voluntarily share.

Aggregate analytics. We use Umami for aggregate page metrics like visitor counts and popular pages. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Advertising. We display ads served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies to personalize ads (see section 4 below).

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the calculators and content you request
  • To understand traffic and calculator popularity (analytics)
  • To display relevant advertising (AdSense)
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve performance

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser. Our Site uses cookies to:

  • Remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) — stored locally
  • Display personalized advertising (Google AdSense — can be disabled)

You can decline cookies via your browser settings or via Google's ad settings.

4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to enable partners to serve ads to our users.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. Users may also opt out of third-party cookie advertising at aboutads.info.

5. Other Third Parties

  • Vercel — our hosting provider. They may log IP addresses and request metadata for abuse detection and performance.
  • Google AdSense — ad provider. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Umami Cloud — privacy-friendly analytics.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — when you click the WhatsApp link on the ASBF calculator you are taken to WhatsApp and subject to their policies.

6. Children's Privacy

CalculatorHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / PDPA)

If you are in the European Union, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Users in Malaysia have similar rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Contact us to exercise these rights — however, because we do not store calculator inputs or personal identifiers, we typically do not hold any personal data about you.

8. Data Retention

Server access logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days for abuse detection. Aggregate analytics data (page-view totals) is retained indefinitely but is not tied to individuals.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
